Vacuum glove boxes are widely used in industries that require high gas purification. Although the current glove box design is more reasonable and easy to operate. However, the structure of the glove box is complex, there are many important parts, and the operation is slightly improper, which may cause loss to your experimental results. This article introduces you how to use the vacuum glove box correctly and the precautions for novices when operating the glove box.

Work before operation:

1. Check if there is nitrogen in the nitrogen cylinder, replace the nitrogen in time, and set the output pressure of the nitrogen to 0.5mpa.

2. Check whether the vacuum pump is turned on normally.

3. Check whether the loop in the glove box is open. (Open one of the purification column-I or purification column-II)

4. Check that the upper limit pressure in the setting should be +1, and the lower limit pressure should be 0

5. Check whether the oxygen and dew point are normal (the oxygen is below 0.1ppm, and the dew point is above -40)

6. The vacuum pump of the antechamber should be in the normally open state

Operation of main antechamber and mini antechamber: (main antechamber generally enlarge parts, mini antechambers generally put tools)

Main antechamber

Put the items outside the glove box inside

1. Close the main antechamber door in the glove box tightly

2. Open the door outside the antechamber

3. Put in items

4. Close the door outside main antechambertightly

5. Evacuate to -1.0 (press the green button at the bottom right corner of the main antechamberto evacuate, and press it without releasing it.)

6. Release the nitrogen gas to 0 (press the orange button at the bottom right corner of the main antechamberto release the nitrogen gas, and press it without releasing it.)

7. Open the main antechamberdoor in the glove box and take out the items

Take the items in the glove box out

1. Close the two doors of antechambers tightly

2. Vacuum to -1.0 (Press the green button in the lower left corner of the main antechamberto vacuum, press it and not release.)

3. Release the nitrogen to 0 (press the orange button at the lower left corner of the main antechamberto release the nitrogen, and press it without releasing it.)

4. Open the door inside the main antechamber and put items in the antechamber

5. Close the door inside the antechamber

6. Open the door outside the main antechamberto take out the items.

7. Close the door outside the main antechamber tightly.

Mini antechamber

Put the items outside the glove box inside

1. Close the mini antechamber door in the glove box tightly.

2. Open the door outside the mini antechamber

3. Put in items.

4. Close the door outside the mini antechamber tightly.

5. Clean so that the inside of the mini antechamber is at -0.1 (turn the handle outside the mini antechamber to clean).

6. Exhaust to make the mini antechamber at 0 (turn the handle outside the mini antechamber to exhaust).

7. Open the mini antechamber door in the glove box and take out the items.

Take the items in the glove box out

1. Close the two doors of mini antechamber tightly.

2. Clean so that the inside of the mini antechamber is at -0.1 (turn the handle outside the mini antechamber to clean).

3. Exhaust air to make the mini antechamber at 0 (turn the handle outside the mini antechamber to exhaust).

4. Open the door inside the mini antechamber and put items in the mini antechamber.

5. Close the door inside the mini antechamber tightly.

6. Open the door outside the mini antechamber to take out the items.

7. Close the door outside the mini antechamber tightly.

Operation note:

1. The vacuum pump should be kept on while the system is working.

2. When the oxygen concentration in the box exceeds 200PPM, the equipment maintenance personnel should be notified to perform system operation, otherwise the H2O and oxygen purification system will be damaged.

3. Check before starting the cycle to see if the glove box is in condition or regeneration. If the operation mentioned above is in progress, it is absolutely forbidden to loop.

4. Two purification columns cannot be regenerated at the same time.

A. Before regeneration, ensure that the glove box has been cleaned by inert gas (H2O<200ppm) to ensure sufficient regeneration gas supply. The regeneration gas pressure is 0.06-0.08mpa.

B. Before starting the regeneration, please confirm that the corresponding purification column cycle is closed.

C. The regeneration process takes 24 hours. Once the execution cannot be disconnected, the regeneration gas is passed 3-6 hours after regeneration. Pay attention to the amount of regeneration gas, adjust the pressure of regeneration gas appropriately, and ensure that the regeneration gas is adequately supplied during these 3 hours. The regeneration origin can be closed after the 6th hour.

D. The vacuum pump cannot be turned off during the regeneration process, and do not touch the top of the purification column to prevent burns.

E. Once the regeneration is terminated unexpectedly, please ensure that the regeneration and circulation of the purification column cannot be restarted within 12 hours, otherwise the equipment will be damaged.

5. Care should be taken to protect the working gloves from damage during operation.

Maintenance:

1. Primary maintenance:

Daily cleaning. Once a day

2. Secondary maintenance:

2.1 Fasten the screws and nuts that are easy to loose. Once a month

2.2 Fasten the electrical components. Once every 3 months

2.3 Correction temperature. Once every 3 months
