The quality of lithium batteries must be guaranteed. The moisture in the production environment must be controlled during production. The moisture control in the production of lithium batteries is mainly monitored by a dew point analyzer. The dew point analyzer used in the lithium battery industry is more prone to damage than the dew point analyzer used in other industries, mainly because the electrolyte (LiPF 6) in the lithium battery injection tank can easily react with water (H2O) to generate hydrofluoric acid ( LiPF6+H2O→LiF+PF3O+2HF), hydrofluoric acid is a strong acid, which is very corrosive and corrodes the probe chip. In order to better extend the service life of the dew point analyzer in the lithium battery industry, the following three points must be paid special attention to:

1. Installation location

The installation position has a decisive effect on the service life of the dew point analyzer, because the concentration of hydrofluoric acid is different in different positions, the concentration of hydrofluoric acid at the air inlet is the lowest, and the concentration of hydrofluoric acid at the air outlet is the highest. Therefore, it is recommended to install the dew point analyzer probe on the air inlet pipe or near the air inlet when installing.

2. Operation method

1). Every time you start working, turn on the dehumidifier unit first, let the dry gas purge the glove box for a period of time to take away the moisture, then turn on the dew point analyzer;

2. DMT242P, TD-100, TD-90 dew point probe When in use, it will automatically heat to evaporate the contaminants on the surface of the probe, so it is best not to shut down the dew point analyzer casually when it is working;

3). Do not disassemble the dew point analyzer at work because of the humidity in the glove box and the glove box. The external humidity varies greatly, and the momentary changes in the environment will easily cause condensation on the probe, which will corrode the probe;

4). When it is necessary to disassemble, let the dew point analyzer stop working for a few minutes before disassembling, and the dew point analyzer stops working until it is disassembled. During this period of time, it is necessary to ensure that the dehumidification unit is operating.

3. holiday protection

After the holiday, the dew point analyzer will not work normally, mainly because the factory is off during the holiday, all equipment stops working, and the ambient humidity in the glove box gradually increases after the dehumidification unit is shut down, and finally balances with the ambient humidity outside the glove box. The remaining electrolyte reacts with water to generate hydrofluoric acid, which is highly corrosive, corrodes the probe chip, and shortens the service life of the dew point analyzer. It is recommended that the majority of lithium battery dew point analyzer users remove the dew point sensor on the glove box during the holidays and immediately use the probe protective cover provided by our company to protect the probe to keep the environment around the dew point sensor probe dry.
