Laser Welding / Parallel Seam-Sealing Glove Box System

The laser welding (parallel seam-sealing) glove box system is a highly integrated, technology-intensive piece of dedicated high-end manufacturing equipment—a miniature, ultra-clean, fully inert-protected, semi-automated packaging line. It perfectly combines ultra-pure inert-atmosphere control with high-precision laser processing. Through a zoned flow-line layout of pre-bake → precision alignment → welding, it not only guarantees the highest packaging quality (ultra-low residual H₂O and O₂), but also significantly enhances production efficiency and process controllability. This system addresses the critical challenges of high-end, precision metal hermetic sealing and is indispensable for ensuring the high reliability and long service life of key devices.

Laser Welding Glove Box System

Designed specifically for materials and processes that cannot be welded in ambient air, suffer from poor weld quality, or generate toxic by-products when welded in a conventional atmosphere.

The system integrates the laser source (fiber / disk laser), galvo scanning head, worktable, CCD coaxial vision positioning system, and process monitoring modules (e.g. PLD) wholly or partially inside a glovebox, thereby completely isolating the weld zone from the ambient atmosphere and preventing oxygen (O₂), nitrogen (N₂) and water vapour (H₂O) from reacting with the high-temperature weld pool.

By eliminating hydrogen generated from water vapour dissociation, the system fundamentally prevents hydrogen embrittlement and delayed cracking in high-strength materials such as aluminium and titanium alloys. The chamber can be filled not only with inert gases (e.g. Ar, He), but also with reactive or mixed process gases as required by the application.

Fumes, spatter and particulates produced during laser welding are fully confined within the enclosure. Toxic welding fumes are captured inside the chamber and discharged only after purification by a dedicated exhaust-gas treatment system. The chamber itself functions as a primary laser safety enclosure, preventing laser radiation from escaping and ensuring operator safety.
